Jason, get well soon! Surgery pictures look kind of nasty :/

No link to the Ruby Pond article? http://www.rubypond.com/articles/2018/12/04/ruby-on-rails-hosting-round-up/

Interesting article. I had heard about some of them, but only tried a couple. I’m with Slicehost right now and they seem pretty good, but I’m still feeling RAM starved at 512MB with just a few apps running, so I might jump over to Linode since they seem similar to Slicehost, but I can get 50% RAM for about the same price per month.

Chad’s blog post is truly revolutionary.

Gregg Pollack – December 11, 2008 @ 03:20 PM

Roland: LOL, yeah… Before we did the podcast he was asking me to squint and see dirty things in the pictures.

Carl: Thanks for posting the link, guess we forgot that one. If you’re hurting for RAM, are you using passenger? Might help.

Thanks for pronouncing my name correctly! :)

Thanks for the mention on Ruby Advent and also for pronouncing my name correctly. Sri Lankan names are naturally tongue twisters ;)

BTW, coming to end of 2nd week of Ruby Advent there are some really awesome stuff contributed by Ruby Hackers around the globe (more cool stuff are still under the sleve)..so keep following - http://advent2008.hackruby.com

Carl - Thanks, just what I was looking for. I loved the advent calendar, too. I think the comments by Chad were indicative of the Rails community because it is still relatively new. We don’t see that type of attitude he addressed with mainframe development (ug, yes mainframe). This was a better than average Rails Envy podcast.

Looks like a case of bad timing with this podcast - you guys missed the biggest Ruby news of the year!!

Rails == Merb!!!!

Jason, enjoy your scaling jokes while you can :p
