Rails Envy Podcast Episode 11

by J on Dec 19, 2017

Episode 11. This episode is a bit longer because we're trying something a bit new, so we'd love your feedback. Also in this episode, we make you never think of route globbing the same way again.

Do you guys have the links to the plugins that you recommended?

I’m new to rails, and haven’t coded for a living in over a decade. Still .. thanks for the podcast and the enthusiasm.

Funny as always :-)

P.S -> white_list has been merged in Rails 2.0 replacing previous sanitize()

Could you please make future podcasts more newsy and less conversational? seriously.

Matthew Kennedy – December 25, 2017 @ 09:12 AM

Love the Podcasts!

While everyone else makes podcasts about rails forcing code down your throat trying to teach you stuff your podcasts are light humored fun and informative, basically a pleasure to listen to! Thanks

I recommend you listen to the Java Posse, to get some ideas on how to make a great podcast.

They always follow a similar structure:

  • Big news, which they cover thoroughly
  • Quick news items, which they just mention
  • Listener feedback (if they have any)

I’d love to listen to longer episodes, by the way.

Thank you.
